New school year

Setting goals

What a wonderful feeling it is, at the end of summer vacation, when you have a whole new school year ahead of you. You've left the hustle and bustle of before the summer holidays behind you and are now back at the beginning, full of energy, plans, and new ideas. How can you hold on to that feeling? That's why I created this worksheet.

I like to use metaphors in my coaching and guidance sessions. It can help to view the request for help from a different perspective. I find worksheets to be great tools for organizing information. But I also really enjoy drawing along live.

Worksheet Fill-in Guide

A book title can resonate with you or make you quickly put it back on the shelf. The same goes for the cover of a book. The goal now is to come up with a title for the coming school year. What do you find important? What do you want to focus on, what do you want to learn or develop? It doesn't matter how big or small it is, as long as it's something you're passionate about and that energizes you. The back cover of a book is handy for quickly reading what the book is about. Imagine the book is about your 2021/2022 school year. How would you like the cover to look? Describe, draw, or paste what you'd like it to look like. The front and back covers of the book remain the same throughout the school year. A school year has a clear rhythm, from vacation to vacation. In my work, I always think in these blocks, nice and clear, and I complete a section each time. Each period also has its own set of elements, peaks and valleys, things that must be done and things that are allowed, things that should have been done, and moments that are unforgettable every school year. This worksheet follows that rhythm. Because you choose what to cover each period and distribute it across the weeks.

Your book consists of pages (the weeks) and chapters (the periods), and together they form your book. The front and back cover help you make choices. The notes are the icing on the cake; they describe everything you've discovered, what went well and what didn't, what was beautiful or funny, and what touched you.

Reading in the dark with an old-fashioned book isn't such a good idea. A lamp is a great tool to help you continue reading in the evening. What will help you achieve your goals? For example, which colleague can you ask for help, who could you collaborate with, or how can you acquire the necessary knowledge? You can easily complete this worksheet on your own. But by exploring it together with me, you'll gain new insights and perspectives. This way, I'll help you achieve your goals. I do this in an accessible and creative way.
